Hello! We are Barbara and Jon and we are glad you are here!   Six years ago we saw the documentary Forks Over Knives at the Crest Theater and soon after enjoyed our first Meatless Monday dinner.  Fast-forward to today, we whole-heartedly follow the guidance of Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr detailed in his book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease.  Becoming plant-based has been exciting and gratifying as we experiment with veg recipes that are hits with family, friends, and co-workers and venture out to try the amazing veg friendly eateries that are popping up in our farm to fork capital.  In the process we lost a few pounds, reduced medications and recouped our energy.

We believe that plant-based eating is good for people and the planet!  We started SacVeg to support you on your plant-based journey by sharing what we’ve learned about making the lifestyle friendly to your family, budget, and schedule.
